2010 Race has been postponed
Welcome to the Kune Climber,
A 17km test of biking endurance up the mountain road.
Available for everyone - Raced by the best - Are you Riding or hiding??
The Kune Climber is a grueling 17 kilometre road climb form the base of the Ohakune Mountain road to the car park of Turoa ski field.
Starting at an altitude of 597 metres above sea level and climbing through some of New Zealands’ most majestic scenery, I would consider it the hardest 17 kilometres in New Zealand road cycling.
Then again I am just a weekend warrior.
The finish line is situated in the fresh mountain air at an altitude of 1675 metres.
Due to major road works the 2010 event has been postponed
but the Kune Climber will take place next year (2011)
We will update this site as soon as any news is available
